Nova Scotia Luuuuuv 🏴 🍁 💕. Work brought me out to Halifax just before the holidays and I made sure to check out the local offerings.
I have a tendency to drift towards the Tidal Bays but this time opted for a straight Riesling from our friends at Benjamin Bridge.
At first it tricks you into a sense of sweetness, but that’s just the abundance of fruit forward notes. This is very much a dry Riesling with lemon 🍋 and lime, with a touch of the tropics through a light pineapple finish. The fruit is complemented by honeyed 🍯 notes that finish with a sort of pleasant beeswax 🐝. A crisp wine with an acidity that is present but by no means overbearing – structurally very balanced overall.
This is a beautiful Riesling worthy of the best praise – a true gem proving Annapolis Valley Riesling competes among the best in the country. 🥂 🇨🇦

Le travail m’a amené à Halifax juste avant les vacances et je me suis assuré de vérifier les offres vinicoles locales.
J’ai tendance à me diriger vers les Tidal Bays, mais cette fois, j’ai opté pour un Riesling de nos amis de Benjamin Bridge.
Au début, le vin vous donne l’impression d’être sucré, mais ce n’est que l’abondance de notes fruitées. Il s’agit d’un Riesling sec avec du citron 🍋 et du citron vert, avec une touche des tropiques à travers une légère finale d’ananas. Le fruit est complété par des notes mielleuses 🍯 qui se terminent par une sorte de cire d’abeille 🐝 agréable. Un vin croquant avec une acidité présente mais en aucun cas dominante – structurellement le vin est très équilibré.
C’est un beau riesling digne des meilleurs éloges – un véritable joyau prouvant que le riesling de la vallée d’Annapolis rivalise avec les meilleurs du pays. 🥂 🇨🇦
